It’s now confirmed that Serie A side Atalanta will miss several players for the Champions League clash against Manchester United on Wednesday evening.

Manager Gian Piero Gasperini on Tuesday released the list of players on the trip to England, and as reported by Calcio Mercato, that doesn’t include the likes of Rafael Toloi, Berat Djimsiti, Hans Hateboer, Matteo Pessina and Robin Gosens.

On Monday, the Italian media had already reported that captain Toloi would not play following an injury picked up in the match against Empoli at the weekend.

Furthermore, Djimsiti, Pessina and Gosens had already been sidelined and are only expected to return later this year. Hateboer, with a foot injury, is still to play for the Serie A side this season.

Atalanta travel to Old Trafford trying to hold top spot in Group F, which they lead with four points. Young Boys and Manchester United have the 2nd and 3rd places with three points each, while Villarreal come at the bottom with only one.

In a press conference on Tuesday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane remain unavailable for the Red Devils, although Fred and Edinson Cavani are working to be included.

Atalanta being without players, and especially with the latest blow regarding their captain, Toloi, could help Manchester United in what could be a difficult night.
