Everton are one of the clubs interested in Joshua Zirkzee but are yet to make a move to sign him this month.
That’s according to Sky Germany, who pick up on reports that the Blues are about to sign the striker from Bayern Munich.
Claims in England yesterday stated that Everton were close to signing Zirkzee on loan until the end of the season and had negotiated a purchase clause in that deal.
That rumour quickly spread but was not widely backed up, particularly in Germany, where there was almost zero comments on Zirkzee’s future, aside from coverage of the English claims.
Sky Germany now provide that and pull the rumour back somewhat, stating that while Everton are interested in the striker, there is no agreement in place.
They say the Blues are looking for a player with potential, someone who may end up as a replacement for Moise Kean if he ends up staying at Paris Saint-Germain.
Everton are not the only club interested either, with ‘many’ Serie A teams, as well as clubs in Belgium and the Netherlands all interested in a deal too.
Sky Germany believe the mini saga ‘could continue until the end of the window’.
