Calciomercato are having something of a Gerard Deulofeu day. Running a live blog on the player’s possible move from Everton to AC Milan, the Italian news outlet are clearly confident something seems to be happening, and that today could be decisive.

Milan sporting director Adriano Galliani is working on the deal, but it’s still stated the Italian club are only offering a loan with a right, on their side, of redemption in the summer transfer window.

Calciomercato reckon Everton negotiations to sign Memphis Depay from Manchester United could push the deal forward, but in France’s it’s still being reported Lyon are pushing for the Dutchman too.

To push things along, Galliani is meeting with agents today, with those agents stated as working on the Deulofeu deal. There’s confidence a deal can be done quickly and that things are moving forward, with Everton’s response ‘expected in the early afternoon’.

If that response comes and is a ‘Yes’ then the transfer will be done shortly, but there’s every chance Everton will again press for a more firm commitment from Milan to sign Deulofeu permanently.
