Everton have emerged as a new suitor for Inter Milan’s Robin Gosens, as per FcInterNews.

The left wing-back, who can also operate as a left-back, initially arrived at the San Siro on a loan deal from Atalanta in January. His stay there was made permanent in the last window, after which Bayer Leverkusen tried snatching the 28-year-old away from the Serie A side.

He has been reduced to a substitute role under Simone Inzaghi this season as the player has made only one league start.

Therefore, the ‘exit door could reopen for him, as early as January’. The Bundesliga side could return for the Germany international, while Everton can be an option in the winter market.

Frank Lampard’s side are looking for a new left-back and have ‘recently knocked on the agent’s door’ to sign Gosens.

FcInterNews suggest that for now, Leverkusen and the Toffees are collecting information. They add Gosens can leave the Nerazzurri if the ‘right proposal arrives’ at the club. The right offer could be an onerous loan with redemption obligation.

Vitaliy Mykolenko and Rúben Vinagre are the two left-backs at Everton. The latter has been restricted to 24 minutes of action in the league.
