Everton are ‘ready to offer’ €15m to Juventus in an attempt to lure Adrien Rabiot to Goodison Park in the summer.
That’s according to TuttoJuve, who back up claims yesterday that Carlo Ancelotti wants a reunion with the French midfielder.
Yesterday we covered a report from France Football that said the Everton boss remained keen on Rabiot, who he worked with during his time at Paris Saint Germain.
That report stated that Ancelotti was ‘ready to spend’ to sign the 25-year-old and would even go to €30m to do so if that’s what it took.
TuttoJuve now back all this up but bring the price down considerably, stating that Everton are ‘ready to offer’ €15m for the Frenchman.
They state that Juventus have put a €25m asking price on Rabiot but, due to his high salary and the ‘total capital gain’ they could make on a sale given they signed him on a free transfer from PSG in 2019, could also sell him at €15m.
That would be a far more acceptable price for Everton in truth, with their finances not exactly in rude health.
A lower figure would also give them room to negotiate higher wages for Rabiot, which could be the deciding factor in convincing him to make the move, beyond a possible reunion with Ancelotti of course.
Either way, it appears Rabiot is a target once again after the rumours in January 2019 and, if this latest report is to be believed, a target who could be available for a bargain price.
