Two days ago, we covered claims from Belgium that KV Kortrijk are interested in signing Everton’s Fraser Hornby on loan, but it wasn’t clear if it was a dry loan or one with an option to buy.

It was also explained the forward was set to visit the Jupiler Pro League side’s facilities before making a decision over a move.

On August 23rd, Het Laatste Nieuws reported the teenager had already travelled to Belgium and held talks with Kortrijk manager Yves Vanderhaeghe over a potential transfer.

HLN once again relay those claims today and they further go on to explain a loan move for the Scot is on the cards. The headline of the report reads, ‘Kortrijk close to Everton promise’.

It’s claimed the two clubs found an agreement for the youngster’s temporary move.

Horby arrived at Everton’s academy from Northampton Town in 2014 and was a regular inclusion for the Toffees in the Premier League 2 last season. He has two years left on his contract at Goodison Park.
