Reports from Italy on Friday morning claimed that Juventus were moving quickly to replace Cristiano Ronaldo at the club. So news soon showed up saying the Old Lady had a deal to sign Moise Kean back from Everton.

At first it was claimed that the striker would return to Italy ‘for free’, and the type of deal reached by the clubs wasn’t very clear.

Now we get a few more details coming from Calcio Mercato, where journalist Daniele Longo explains the formula which will take Kean back to Juve.

He says the player is initially move on a one-year loan. Then the Italian side will have an obligatory buying clause at the end of the season which is triggered only in case they qualify for the Champions League.

The story doesn’t make it clear how much Juventus would pay for the permanent move, although it shouldn’t take long until other news outlets from Italy come up with the numbers.

Kean has a contract with Everton running until 2024, and is going out on his second loan following the year he’s just spent at Paris Saint Germain.

Calcio Mercato says the player has a ‘general agreement on the contract’ and ‘confidently awaits’ to fly to Turin.
