André Gomes returned to Everton after spending last season on loan at Lille, where he managed three goals and two assists from 27 games.

Sean Dyche hasn’t included the 30-year-old in his plans which is why the latter hasn’t made a single appearance this season. That hasn’t stopped the Everton player from drawing attention from Juventus.

According to Calciomercato.it, the Serie A side could be forced to look for a new midfielder due to Paul Pogba and Nicolò Fagioli having off-field issues.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Pierre-Emile Højbjerg has been pushed forward as one of the targets and the outlet adds the former Barcelona man is also an option for the Old Lady.

Gomes can operate as a defensive midfielder or in the middle of the pitch. This, coupled with the Portuguese’s profile seems to make him an attractive option for the Italian club.

Calciomercato.it state the Everton man is valued at €15m but the Turin club aren’t ready to pay that price in January especially since his deal expires in 2024. Therefore, Juventus are eyeing a ‘low cost’ deal to try to sign the player.

It’s claimed a potential deal in January will depend on demands from both Everton and Gomes [salary], which aren’t made clear in the report.
