Beto is on the verge of becoming an Everton player, with Toffees interest in the Udinese striker going back months.

They’d made an attempt in the January window but weren’t able to get a deal over the line, and it’s clear Beto has been a club target because the interest continued after Sean Dyche arrived at Goodison Park.

The player travelled to Liverpool over the weekend, and it’s now just a case of finalising the paperwork and announcing the move, something which could happen at any moment.

Over in Italy, they’ve seen the transfer as being done for a few days, and Il Messaggero Veneto, Udinese’s local newspaper, gives their take on the deal.

Udinese Blog quote them as saying the deal is worth a fixed fee of €31m plus a further €8m in potential bonus payments.

That converts to around £33.5m in total.

There’s no indication of what the bonuses relate to, or even whether they’re player related, such as appearances or goals, or club related.
