On Friday, Sky Italia stated Everton saw their bid of €25m plus €5m bonuses rejected by Udinese as the Italian club demanded €35m to part ways with the striker.

It was also stated the talks were ongoing between the two clubs.

Another report from Sky Italia states the 25-year-old is now ‘very close’ to joining the Merseyside club.

Everton have made a ‘decisive’ effort in the last few hours by tabling an improved offer of €30m plus bonuses.

It’s claimed a ‘small effort’ from the Toffees is needed to meet the fee requested by the Serie A side. Should this happen, the player will move to Goodison Park.

Gazzetta dello Sport also state Sean Dyche’s side have returned with a new offer to sign Beto.

The latest effort from them would be enough to convince Udinese to sanction a move. The newspaper adds the player, for his part, is ‘ready to leave immediately’ to join the Toffees.

Everton insist on signing the Udinese star in the coming days, after they failed to land him in January. Gazzetta say the deal ‘really seems one step away’.

Alfredo Pedullà states Beto is on the verge of leaving Udinese as they are ‘about to accept’ the Premier League side’s offer of €30m for the frontman.
