When it comes to Everton striker Moise Kean, it’s been nothing but positives for him so far this season.
After a disappointing first year on Merseyside, he was shipped out to Paris Saint Germain on loan in the summer in the hope of rediscovering his form and getting back on track.
He’s certainly done that in the French capital, with 15 goals in 29 games, a superb tally that is only likely to increase come the end of the season.
Indeed, the summer is looking likely to be an extremely busy one for the Everton man, who has both PSG and Juventus vying for his signature if reports are to be believed.
Kean is currently with the Italy squad ahead of their games over the next three weeks, but the Italian FA are reporting today that he has been ‘dropped’ and sent back to PSG.
This is reportedly because he has been ‘feeling fatigued’ and so has been dropped from the squad to return to France and recover.
The reason for this fatigue hasn’t been made clear, but it’s possible that it has something to do with his recent positive COVID-19 diagnosis. It’s well established by this point that the fatigue from COVID-19 can last for weeks, even months.
Everton will be hoping it is something he can get over in the near future, with his absence from these international games something of a blow to their summer plans.
They need Kean to be with Italy at the Euros this summer if they are to get a good price, should they decide to sell, and him missing these games has the potential to put his place in the squad in doubt.
