Brazilian outlet TNT Sports today brings interesting updates on the future of Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira.
According to reporter Fred Caldeira, the 25-year-old has three options on the table, and one of them is of Everton. It’s said the Toffees are trying to sign the player on a one-year loan deal and an option to buy.
That clause for a permanent move seems to be an advantage over Flamengo, who are also in talks for the signing.
TNT Sports’ story is obviously more focused on the Brazilian side, so they have a few more details about their bid. It’s said the offer for a loan was made ‘a few days ago’ and the club got in touch with the player as well. The midfielder’s salary would be split between the sides.
Fenerbahce are said to be in the race as well, although it’s claimed that the Turkish side are still to make their bid.
Not long ago, the same reporter had already claimed that Pereira had become a target for Fenerbahce and an unnamed English club.
So it now looks like Everton were that side, and are now joined by Flamengo.
TNT Sports claims that the Rio de Janeiro side are now trying to convince Manchester United.
The Red Devils, however, would rather let Pereira leave on a permanent move, which Everton, with their offer, are giving them the option of, at least.
