Flamengo wonderkid Reinier is living one of the most special moments of a footballer’s career. After making his debut against Emelec, he’s now set to start his first game for the club this weekend.
Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte brought a big story about him on Friday, showing how he’s deserving of a spot in a team which is already full of stars.
The website finishes their story saying Reinier’s time at Flamengo should actually ‘be short’, and that’s why he should enjoy the chances he has at the club.
They say the ‘most likely scenario’ is for him to move to Everton, with the Toffees buying him for €40m once he turns 18 in January 2020.
The most interesting thing about this story is that Globo Esporte is highly reliable, but hadn’t reported Everton’s pursuit of Reinier yet.
The Toffees’ agreement to sign the player had first been claimed by Esporte Interativo. So if other important outlets are jumping in, that’s because something is definitely happening.
