Currently loaned at Everton from AS Monaco, Djibril Sidibé wouldn’t mind staying in the north of England if he got given the opportunity to.

The right-back has enjoyed himself on Merseyside so far, perhaps more so under Carlo Ancelotti than Marco Silva, and in a relatively recent interview with RMC Sport, he made it clear that should the Toffees ask him to remain beyond the temporary deal, he would consider it.

However, if Gazzetta dello Sport are to be believed on Thursday, Everton appear to have different plans for the right hand side of their defence, as it’s claimed there is an interest from Goodison Park for Ola Aina.

Once a Chelsea player, the Nigeria international was loaned to Torino in Serie A, where he impressed enough to be bought and become a regular starter.

His versatility has been key to earn him minutes on the pitch, as he’s often played down the left of their three at the back formation, but that hasn’t stopped clubs from the Premier League to take notice and come forward.

Gazzetta state Everton are one of two English sides to have ‘knocked on the door’ in Turin (the other being West Ham) for the London born footballer, ‘interested in a transfer when the window next reopens’.

For Aina, this is very tempting, as there is a desire from his end to be once again closer to his family.

Costing Torino around €10m, the player’s value has now close to doubled, with Gazzetta reporting he is now worth around €18m.

A very affordable fee for a team like Everton, especially if they prefer him to Sidibé, who would cost around €14m to keep permanently.
