Already close to leaving Everton in January, it seems David Henen won’t be at Goodison Park next season, if reports in France are to be believed.

The 20-year-old forward held talks with both Marseille and Lille during the winter transfer window, yet neither ended up materialising into something concrete.

However, it showed the interest for the Everton starlet is there, despite him yet to feature for the club’s first-team.

The interest from France was first mentioned back in November from Walfoot, who claimed both Nice and Toulouse were ready to offer the youngster an escape route from Goodison Park.

Well, Le10 Sport claim on Tuesday the former of the two are still very keen on David Henen, as they continue to track a handful of players to bolster their frontline for the coming season.

With the club likely to play Champions League football next season, at least in the qualifying rounds, this means the young Belgian winger could end up going from Everton’s U23s to showcasing his skills on the biggest stage were this move to come off.

However, Nice are also keeping an eye on Monaco’s Allan Saint-Maximin and Caen’s Yann Karamoh, so Henen still has a lot of convincing to do.
