Everton are interested in Paris Saint Germain defender Colin Dagba as they hunt for a new right-back this summer.
That’s according to Le10Sport, who say ‘several sources’ have made them aware of the Blues interest in the 21-year-old.
Everton are known to be keen to sign a new right-back this summer as they hunt for competition for Seamus Coleman.
They have had Djibril Sidibe on loan from Monaco this year and have an option to turn that into a permanent deal, but reports have suggested they will not activate that clause and instead potentially try for another loan deal.
Should that not happen, and they decide that youngster Jonjoe Kenny has no future, they will need to find a new right-back.
Several have been linked and the latest name to add to the list is Dagba, who could leave PSG over a lack of playing time.
Le 10 explain that the youngster is not guaranteed playing time next year even if Thomas Meunier should leave. The best the Ligue 1 champions can offer him is the role of ‘understudy’.
Thus, Everton ‘could have a card to play’ as they can offer him ‘playing time guarantees’ given their lack of options in the position.
There is no mention of whether Everton have made their move as yet, by either contacting the player or PSG, just that they have ‘ticked’ Dagba’s name as a possible signing.
He is not the only player they are looking at from the Ligue 1 champions, with Thiago Silva and Layvin Kurzawa both also potential targets for them.
