While the Galacticos era is a thing of the past at Real Madrid, there’s no denying the club remains an attractive destination for players.

The desire to recreate a team capable of dismantling all in their path remains at Santiago Bernabeu, but certain targets will need to be acquired in order to achieve that, with the likes of Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappé top of the list.

Those two, however, will be very expensive and difficult to obtain, which is why Cadena SER are reporting that the decision makers in Madrid have an alternative that goes by the name of Harry Kane, currently the star of the show at Tottenham Hotspur.

This isn’t the first time the Spurs man has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, far from it, but with the London club failing to be competitive on all fronts under José Mourinho, the desire to end his career with an actual trophy might cause him to look elsewhere.

At 27 years of age, the England international’s career isn’t exactly in its early stages, and Cadena SER journalist Francisco José Delgado reported on Tuesday morning that the La Liga giants ‘haven’t lost sight’ of the prolific goalscorer.

He’s considered the ‘third option’ behind the aforementioned younger duo, but there’s also a ‘great advantage’ when it comes to negotiating with the player: ‘there’s only the need to talk with his brother Charlie, avoiding the presence of other intermediaries who could make the operation more expensive’.

That being said, with three years left on his deal, a big transfer fee would still need to be paid, and we all know Daniel Levy isn’t exactly going to agree to anything other than a fee surpassing that of Gareth Bale’s back in 2014.
