Liverpool and Newcastle United are among the clubs chasing Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat in the summer window.

That’s according to FirenzeViola.it, who state the two Premier League sides like the 26-year-old.

It’s explained that ‘especially Liverpool and Newcastle’ are the only clubs at the moment ‘ready to pay’ the fee requested by the Serie A side to sign the midfielder.

There’s no mention of the fee demanded by the Italian club in the report.

Apart from Jürgen Klopp’s side and the Magpies, the Morocco international has received interest from Atlético Madrid and Barcelona. The player prefers a move to Spain as he’s convinced he can have more impact there than in the Premier League.

At the same time, the La Liga duo aren’t willing to meet Fiorentina’s demand to sign him. In fact, the report states the two clubs are waiting for the price to drop, also because they are evaluating other profiles.

Amrabat, for his part, is still waiting for offers from Spain. With Liverpool and Newcastle keen to sign him, they’ll have to convince the Moroccan, to have any hope of securing his services in this window.
