Another day, another story out of Italy involving Everton and their pursuit of talent that can help Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

We’ve covered numerous stories for a variety of players, and one of the latest recurring stories involves Cengiz Ünder, currently contracted to AS Roma.

It’s been explained previously the Serie A side see him as an ideal way of making money this summer, and while teams like Arsenal and Tottenham have reportedly been circling for some time now, it’s ‘especially Everton who have set their eyes on him’, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

It’s believed he’s worth around €30m, which would be a profit on their initial investment of €13.4m, making it an affordable price for the Toffees if they want to pursue this avenue further.

Still only 22, the winger is far from the finished product and has been criticised for having an up and down form, but if Ancelotti and Marcel Brands believe among those capable of doing a job at Goodison Park, who are we to disagree?

Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, Ünder had made 20 appearances under Paulo Fonseca and scored three goals.
