Leicester City have targeted Inter Milan player Stefano Sensi as the Italian side focus on departures after the arrival of Tajon Buchanan.

That’s according to journalist Gianluca di Marzio, who says the midfielder has ‘ended up in the sights’ of the Championship leaders.

He explains that the former Sampdoria player has found little space in the first part of this season for Inter, with just three appearances in the league and 2% of the available minutes played.

He is a player that Leicester manager Enzo Maresca likes, though, and now they have held first contacts with Inter about a potential move.

They’ve also held contacts with the player and Maresca is ‘trying to convince’ him to make Leicester his next destination. For now, no official offer has been presented to Inter.

Maresca believes he would be an ideal addition for Leicester, though, and is even willing to let Dennis Praet go to help finance a move for the Inter man.

The Belgian still has suitors in Italy after loan spells away from Leicester with Sampdoria and Torino and it seems Maresca is hoping to send him back there, or elsewhere, before convincing Sensi to make the move to join him.
