Arsenal are interested in São Paulo defender Lucas Beraldo, according to reports.

With the 20-year-old drawing a big chase with the good year he’s just had at his club, Italian outlet TuttoJuve now has a piece about the race for him.

The website claims that Arsenal, Juventus and Liverpool are three clubs who are now following Beraldo.

That specific story doesn’t bring many more details on the battle for this signing, but the information we’ve been covering from Brazil gives a much clearer picture of it.

Local reports have lately been claiming that Beraldo is wanted by Zenit and Leicester City. The Russian side had a €18m offer rejected, and the Foxes are expected to put €20m on the table, since that’s the amount set by São Paulo for the sale.

What may harm Leicester City’s chances is that his staff reportedly don’t want a move to the Championship, as they’d like the defender to join a ‘top club’. That’s where Arsenal could sneak in.

São Paulo are prepared to sell Beraldo before the end of the year, so in case the Gunners are really interested, Edu Gaspar should now make his move.
