Brentford’s Emiliano Marcondes decided to join FC Midtjylland on loan until December 31st after Thomas Frank couldn’t assure him of regular playing time with the English club.
The attacking midfielder made 12 appearances for the Danish side in the league this season, scoring two goals and registering two assists in the process.
Earlier this month, Midtjylland manager Brian Priske opened up about his desire to retain the 24-year-old at the club beyond his loan spell.
“We are in talks with both him and Brentford. He must think the right thing for him will be to stay at FC Midtjylland. We hope, of course, that the arrow points in our direction,” Graversen said.
Midtjylland and Brentford are both owned by Matthew Benham and if the Danish side are keen on retaining Marcondes, their relations with the Bees could help in retaining the player until the end of this season’s Superliga.
Midtjylland have already played the last fixture of this calendar year and their next tie is against Lyngby in February.
