Last summer, Genk allowed Benson Manuel to join Royal Excel Mouscron on a loan transfer, which includes an option to buy.
So far, the winger has scored four goals and registered six assists in 20 appearances in all competitions.
Two days ago, Voetbalnieuwas.be reported the 21-year-old ‘gradually becoming a sensation’ and attracting interest from other clubs across Europe. It was explained that Chelsea and Inter Milan have watched him action for his club this season.
So far, Manuel has not received any concrete proposals, but clubs are keeping a close eye on the forward.
The player’s agent Patrick De Koster gave an interview to Calciomercato.it and explained that there has been no contact from either the west London club or the Nerazzurri to sign his client after this campaign.
“I am forced to deny these rumours, I do not know who brought them out,” De Koster stressed.
“It ‘s true that my client has interest from different teams in Europe, and especially in Turkey. However, to date there has been no contact with Inter or Chelsea, a club with which I have a direct and close relationship.”
In fairness, Voetbalnieuwas.be only reported that scouts from Chelsea and Inter have watched Manuel and were also clear there has been no firm offers for the player.
