Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web today features a story explaining all the figures in the double deal made between Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur in the final days of the transfer window.

The London side completed the signings of Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski, both in structured deals, so there are several numbers and clauses to be detailed.

Tthe Uruguayan midfielder, which is the more simple operation, is moving on a €19m fee, which will be payable over four years, with another potential €6m in performance bonuses.

Those add-ons are divided between €3m to be paid after a set number of appearances and €3m linked to a qualification to the Champions League, with 50% of his games as a starter.

Meanwhile, Kulusevski joins Tottenham on a loan until the summer of 2023, paying €10m for the one and a half year temporary deal, with a clause that could, if triggered, make his move permanent for €35m.

The purchase would be triggered in case of qualification to the Champions League as well as Kulusevski featuring in at least 50% of matches as a starter, playing for at least 45 minutes.

That only makes it clear that Tottenham’s main goal is to clinch a place in the elite European competition, and there’s hope those two arrivals will have important roles in their campaign to do so, in turn allowing them to sign the Swede permanently in the process.
