On Friday we covered claims from Belgium’s Het Nieuwsblad that Everton are back in the picture for Leander Dendoncker.
It was explained the two clubs having a good relationship could see a move happen before the end of the end of the window, with West Ham dithering with their interest.
Following the Henry Onyekuru loan, the Belgian newspaper suggested a similar deal could be done which would see Everton agreeing a purchase but then leaveing Dendoncker where he is for the rest of the season and having to pay as little as €15m.
Another Belgian newspaper, HLN, have it differently. They believe Dendoncker has been pushed to Everton, but for now ‘the Toffees do not bite’.
Good relations between the player’s agent Christophe Henrotay and Bill Kenwright are mentioned once again but as far as HLN are concerned Dendoncker is ‘not an option’ for Everton this month, although it’s stated that could change.
Everton were linked strongly in August and then a week after the window closed, Belgium’s Belgium’s DH said Henrotay had been in contact with Everton on August 24th but nothing materialised.
