Tottenham Hotspur’s signing Lucas Bergvall is now glad that his transfer saga has come to an end.

The 18-year-old was today interviewed by Expressen, who claim he was the ‘hottest topic in the entire football world this winter’

The Swedish outlet may be exaggerating a little bit, but it’s a fact that Bergvall’s move to Tottenham was heavily covered by media all over the world, and only now has he been able to take time to assess the situation and gather his thoughts.

“There was a lot going on in my head in general, a lot of speculation on social media and there were many who wondered. It’s nice that everything has settled down now so I can focus only on Djurgarden .”

Local outlets are often highlighting the fact that Bergvall will have Dejan Kulusevski with him at Tottenham, and it was no different this time. The youngster claims to be glad to have an older Swedish teammate at the club.

“Dejan is an incredibly good footballer but also a warm person. I’ve known him since before, so it’s definitely a security to come there and know that there’s another Swede there. Then you have someone to lean on and ask questions about.”

Bergvall is now set to finish the season with his club Djurgarden and complete the move to Tottenham in the summer. He claims that he and his family are already planning the switch to London.

“I will try to get an apartment. One of my parents will move with me for the first few months until I get into it. Then we’ll have to look after it.”

Tottenham are set to spend €10m on Bergvall’s arrival in the summer. Spurs beat Barcelona in the race to sign the youngster, and that’s something that will surely follow him in the coming years of his career.
