Barcelona’s Clément Lenglet has been on loan at Tottenham Hotspur since last summer.
On April 14th, Marca reported the La Liga side will ‘try to get’ the north London club to buy the defender for €12-15m.
It was also stated they haven’t opened talks with Spurs due to the managerial changes in London.
A ‘confidential’ report from Tuesday’s Sport states Inter Milan asked about the 27-year-old when their sporting director, Piero Ausilio, met with Barca leaders last week.
Inter want to sign two new central defenders, and have a restricted budget. Therefore, they are looking at players who are discarded by their clubs. This is where Lenglet, Umtiti and García would fit in.
The Serie A side would find it ‘complicated’ to acquire Lenglet’s signature because of Tottenham.
It’s claimed Barcelona are ‘already negotiating’ the former Sevilla man’s sale to the Premier League side, and ‘things are on the right track’.
Spurs’ desire to buy Lenglet, who will leave Barca, makes it ‘complicated’ for Inter to sign him in the next window.
