Crystal Palace are eyeing a move for Koln defender Sebastiaan Bornauw, who is ‘drawn’ to a move to England.

That’s according to SportBILD, who say Crystal Palace are ‘trying’ to secure his signature but are being forced to wait on a decision from the 22-year-old.

The newspaper explains that Koln are ‘dependent on sales’ this summer, and one of the candidates is Bornauw, who is ‘drawn to the island’.

Crystal Palace are the ones who are pushing the hardest for his signature and trying to convince the 22-year-old over a move to Selhurst Park, but they are ‘still waiting’ on a decision from the defender.

Why that is the case isn’t made clear, but it would be safe to assume he is waiting to see who Crystal Palace appoint as Roy Hodgson’s successor first.

He could also be waiting to see if there are any other offers on the table before making a decision on his next move.

At this point, there’s no mention of an asking price or if Bornauw would actually be interested in the move, but Crystal Palace are trying nonetheless.
