Crystal Palace failed in their efforts to sign Leicester City goalkeeper Daniel Iversen in the recently concluded window, according to a report from Denmark.
The 26-year-old made 17 appearances last season, where the Foxes were relegated from the Premier League, and Roy Hodgson’s side wanted to bring him back to the top flight.
That’s according to Tipsbladet, who state Crystal Palace ‘offered a considerable amount of millions’ to Leicester to acquire the stopper’s services.
Crystal Palace’s failure to acquire Iversen’s services saw them sign Dean Henderson as he arrived at Selhurst Park from Manchester United on August 31st.
Iversen joined Leicester in 2018 and after being out on loan for four years, he was given an opportunity to feature regularly at the King Power Stadium in the second half of last season.
However, he’s since lost his place in Leicester’s starting lineup to his compatriot, Mads Hermansen, who is now the first-choice goalkeeper for Enzo Maresca this season.
Iversen’s contract at Leicester is until 2025, and he will now have to stay put for a while longer before getting the exit he desires.
