Already fully aware of the demands of the Premier League from his time at Aston Villa, Jordan Amavi could very well get a second chance at making it in English football.

Still only 26, the French defender has made a name for himself once again in France with Marseille, to the point where Crystal Palace are keenly looking at him.

That isn’t exactly news in itself since we’ve already covered a couple of articles on the matter, but they have competition.

L’Equipe look at the situation and explain that while Napoli are on the case, it’s ‘above all Crystal Palace’ in the running.

Much like Florian Thauvin, Amavi isn’t expected to renew in the south of France, with conversations regarding a new contract ‘at a dead end’.

That means he’s free to talk to anyone regarding a summer move, but there’s also a chance he could leave in January for a small fee.

We’ll have to wait and see if that last bit happens, but the general consensus is he’ll likely find himself a new club in the coming months before signing there for nothing with a salary boost to go with it.

That could be Crystal Palace, but it could also be Arsenal, who have recently reached out.

Either way, London seems to be a possible destination for Amavi, but only time will tell if he ends up at Selhurst Park or across the city, just north of Highbury Fields.
