Newcastle United star Moussa Sissoko has been linked to several clubs this summer, and is expected to leave the Championship side.

Reports in the Spanish media suggest Real Madrid see Sissoko as a low cost alternative to Paul Pogba, and are interested in signing him.

El Confidencial, who are pretty reliable on Madrid transfers, published an article on Thursday saying there was interest, but the fee was too high.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Real Madrid have no interest in signing Sissoko.

Marca say sources close to the club have told them Sissoko is not on the list of players Real Madrid could try to sign this summer.

Yesterday, Spanish daily AS reported Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and Everton have already contacted Newcastle for the Frenchman, whilst Real Madrid are keen.

Marca add more clubs to the list, as they believe Crystal Palace, Manchester United, Roma, Arsenal and Liverpool have shown interest in Sissoko.

It is reported Sissoko is valued at €42m, and it remains to be seen if any club is willing to match Newcastle’s valuation.
