Earlier today, website Tutto Mercato Web reported Leicester City’s latest offer for Atalanta fullback Robin Gosens.
According to the outlet, the Foxes are willing to pay €25m plus bonuses for the player. The 26-year-old, however, would wait and see if Brendan Rodgers’ side will be in the Champions League next season before accepting the move.
Well, it didn’t take long until website Calcio Mercato came up with more information. They now bring a story saying Leicester City have been negotiating for Gosens for ‘a few weeks’.
The claims about the bid, however, are a little different. They say Atalanta are actually demanding €25m, and the Foxes must now work to get to that price. Meanwhile, the negotiations with the player are said to be ‘advanced’
We’ll never know if the source from both websites is the same, but there’s clearly been some confusion regarding the numbers for the deal and how far Leicester City have got so far.
Either way, it really looks like the negotiations for the German player are reaching crucial stages.
