The Turin press just won’t give up on Anthony Martial to Juventus and continue to insist there’s something in the rumours.
There’s been claims of talks and meetings with the player’s entourage, something Martial’s agent has denied, but given the reports also coming from the French media, it seems there’s at least something cooking.
Martial isn’t as prominent at Manchester United as he’d like to be, yet an exit would still be a surprise for many, given how talented the young Frenchman is.
Juventus see Martial as their ‘Plan A’ for the summer, according to Tuttosport, and it’s claimed contacts have ‘intensified’ about the potential transfer. The player’s entourage are even planning an ‘exit strategy’ if the Turin newspaper are to be believed.
There’s no mention of talks directly with Manchester United and that’s when the real possibility of a deal will become clear.
If they can’t get Martial from Old Trafford then Juventus will look at a Plan B option, signing an older and cheaper striker to be understudy to Gonzalo Higuain.
Anthony Martial came on as a substitute for Manchester United on Sunday but was unable to prevent Jose Mourinho’s side losing 1-0 to West Brom.
