New Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim was mildly critical of Joshua Zirkzee after the club’s 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town at the weekend.
The Netherlands player came off the bench in the clash but failed to make an impact.
The Portuguese manager urged the summer signing to get in the box more often, which inevitably encouraged talk that the Dutch striker might not be well-suited to what the Red Devils want him to do.
Those comments from Amorim have caught a lot of attention in Italy and Zirkzee’s situation is on the front page of today’s Corriere dello Sport.
He is willing to do that and the outlet reports first contact has now been made between Juve and Motta’s former striker.
The 23-year-old Manchester United man isn’t the only striker that the Bianconeri are looking at, with Udinese’s Lorenzo Lucca suggested as a target. Contact for him has also been made.
