Liverpool striker Divock Origi has emerged as a target for AC Milan in the summer transfer window.
According to Calciomercato.it, the striker is ‘slowly approaching’ the Serie A side as the two parties are in ‘constant contact’
His contract expires in June and although the Reds have an option to extend it, they ‘do not seem willing to exercise’ it and will allow the 26-year-old leave Anfield as a free agent.
Liverpool’s stance, and the frontman’s camp being in regular contact with the Italian side means the ‘white smoke’ for Origi to agree a deal ‘does not appear so far away’.
Over at MilanNews, they explain there has been ‘great interest’ from the Rossoneri in Jürgen Klopp’s man, who is ‘approaching’ the San Siro.
It’s said Milan’s interest in the attacker is ‘becoming more and more concrete’, so much so that their leaders will soon meet his representatives to find a definitive agreement for a deal that includes an annual net salary of €3.5/4m.
Origi, for his part, ‘would gladly wear the Milan shirt’ to have a leading role, something that he has never enjoyed at Liverpool.
The website states there is confidence among the parties involved that ‘an agreement can be reached in a relatively short time’.
