With a year left on his contract, Kyle Walker’s future could be away from Manchester City and at Bayern Munich.

Recent claims in Germany have insisted the Bundesliga winners have identified the 33-year-old as a target for their right-back position.

Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg took to Twitter to state the Bavarian club want to finalise a deal for the Manchester City defender soon and that he’s also keen to join them in this window.

Plettenberg says Thomas Tuchel’s side are working on a ‘total verbal agreement’ to sign the England international and the first talks and ideas between the two clubs are about a possible package of around €20-30m.

The journalist doesn’t specify if the ‘package’ also includes the player’s salary, but that\s unlikely. He does state the negotiations between Pep Guardiola’s side and the German champions would continue for the former Tottenham Hotspur man.

With the negotiations between the two clubs still ongoing, more updates on this case are awaited.

Walker was part of Manchester City’s treble winning squad last season, where he made 39 appearances. He came off the bench in the Champions League final against Inter Milan.
