Even though Leandro Paredes’ transfer from Paris Saint Germain to Juventus seemed like a done deal, Arsenal’s interest in the player has been agitating the Italian media.

Gazzetta Dello Sport today features a piece claiming there’s the ‘insertion’ from the Gunners in the race for the midfielder.

They say Arsenal ‘have also fallen’ on the player ‘in the last few hours’.

Now excited by the new competition, Paris Saint-Germain ‘want to understand’ if the London side are ‘capable of making a better offer’ for the player.

The truth is that there’s been huge confidence that Paredes will join the Old Lady, mostly because of his personal desire, as he would team up once again with his good friend Angel Di Maria.

It’s said that if the move was only up to him, there would ‘not be many doubts’.

However, PSG continue to offer some resistance to the conditions of Juve’s offer, despite being more ‘open’ to a loan deal in the past few days.

So there seems to be a risk that if Arsenal show up with a better bid, a deal with the Bianconeri could collapse, as it could be more profitable for the Ligue 1 champions.
