The Portuguese media continues to lack confidence over Porto signing Rúben Vinagre from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

When the first rumours popped up in the English media, reports from the North of Portugal were quick to claim the player isn’t in the plans of manager Sérgio Conceição.

Now it’s time for Record to state that, regardless of being interested or not, it’s quite unlikely that Porto could afford Vinagre.

It’s said that the fullback is seen by Wolves as a player who they can make big income from. He’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €9m, and Record says the Molineux side should demand even more.

It’s been claimed that Rúben Vinagre would be a replacement for Porto left-back Alex Telles, and Record brings some doubts regarding that as well.

They say it’s still not guaranteed that the Brazilian will leave the Dragons this summer. And even in case he does, and ‘if’ the club decide to go for the Wolves player (they do make that ‘if’ very clear), then there’s still the problem regarding price.
