Barcelona worked on several free agent signings last summer, in contact with agents months prior as they looked to build value deals.

The Blaugrana have the same plan for the next summer market, and have already started work on identifying targets who could be free, and starting talks over possible moves.

Catalan newspaper Sport report Barca are even looking towards Liverpool and Manchester City as they try to find good quality players on the cheap. According to the report, Naby Keita and Ilkay Gundogan are two of those in ‘the orbit’ of Xavi Hernandez’s side as they look ahead to next year.

The Liverpool and Manchester City pair both have contracts expiring at the end of June, and that’s why they’re of interest. Youri Tielemans is in the same situation, and Sport say Barcelona are also keen on the Leicester City player.

Then there’s Chelsea, who the Camp Nou club could again annoy. N’Golo Kante and Jorginho are both said to be of interest, and contact has been initiated.

Barcelona look like they’ll be an irritant for Premier League clubs with big players sitting on expiring contracts.
