Club ‘stepping up their efforts’ to sign Tottenham player, big deal, want to build third transfer

Paris Saint-Germain have good links with Tottenham Hotspur, having sold Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura to the north London club in the past year or so.

According to French newspaper L’Equipe, the Ligue 1 winners are ‘stepping up their efforts’ to sign Spurs defender Danny Rose.

PSG’s director of football Antero Henrique is hoping to use the relationship between the two clubs in helping his side land the England international.

The left-back saw his first team appearances being limited last season, making only 10 appearances in the Premier League as his manager Mauricio Pochettino preferred Ben Davies ahead of the 28-year-old.

If the former Southampton manager and the Premier League club decide to sanction the sale of their player, it’s likely to be a big deal for all involved, especially at this stage of the summer. However, the report claims PSG manager Thomas Tuchel prefers Bayer Leverkusen’s Wendell.

So far, the Parc des Princes outfit have added Gianluigi Buffon and Thilo Kehrer as the two new faces to their squad. If they manage to secure Rose’s signature, he will be PSG’s third signing of the transfer window.
