Galatasaray are looking to make a late bid to sign Tottenham forward Lucas Moura on deadline day of the transfer window.
That’s according to Fanatik, who report that the Turkish giants have turned their attention to the Brazilian alongside an effort to sign Mauro Icardi from Paris Saint Germain.
They state that Moura would be the ‘second bomb’ of a late double push for big-name signings and contacts with Tottenham for the 30-year-old ‘have reached an important stage’.
Turkish clubs have the benefit of their window being open until the 8th of September and several sides, including Galatasaray, want to use that to their advantage.
They’re working on a deal for Icardi but want Moura as well as they look to reinforce their forward line and add goals to the team.
They’ve made ‘important progress’ on a potential deal for the Brazilian, although the nature of this progress isn’t made clear.
Fanatik make no mention of whether the progress has been made with Tottenham or the player, just that the Turkish club’s management are working on the potential deal.
The lack of information means we will take this with a pinch of salt for now, but it seems Galatasaray are a club to keep an eye on should Moura not move elsewhere on deadline day.
