Juventus have ‘proposed’ an €18m deal to Arsenal for midfielder Thomas Partey and the feeling is that there is a deal there to be done between the two sides.

That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who say Partey is seen as ‘practically a certainty’ by the Italian side as they look to build a side suited to Max Allegri’s 3-5-2 formation.

The newspaper explains that Partey is the ‘shield to be placed’ in the middle of the pitch and is seen as a guarantee on a continental level after five years at Atletico Madrid and three at Arsenal.

Juventus have already ‘proposed’ a deal to Arsenal worth €18m but that offer could be ‘raised by a couple of million’ to help the two sides reach an agreement and get a deal over the line.

Any move for Partey depends heavily on the future of Adrien Rabiot, who is yet to decide his future at the club but appears to be leaning towards staying at this moment in time.

Either way, though, the Italian giants are keen and want Partey in the middle of the park as they look to refresh Allegri’s options and bounce back from a turbulent few years.

They just need to find an agreement with Arsenal, who will presumably be more open to accepting a bid once they’ve tied up a move for Declan Rice.
