Grêmio president Romildo Bolzan has commented on the future of club youngster Diego Rosa.
The midfielder has been heavily linked to Manchester City, with reports from Brazil claiming the clubs are on the verge of reaching a deal for his transfer.
Bolzan spoke to the local press before the match against Internacional, and when asked about the midfielder, he confirmed that there are attempts to bring him to Europe.
“There is a situation of consultation and of business that came from abroad. If an interesting proposal comes, Grêmio have to analyse it. Our desire is to keep him, but I already think it’s going to be unfeasible,” he said (via Radio Grenal).
There are mixed reports in Brazil regarding how much Manchester City would be paying for Diego Rosa. While some stories say it’s €10m, others claim there’s an initial fee of €5m, with a few million more depending on performance bonuses.
Outlet Zero Hora claims that the player should be signed by the Premier League side and then be loaned out to Lommel, a club in Belgium.
The same website writes today that the player would have no problem getting a work permit for the Premier League. But Pep Guardiola’s side want him to pick up experience somewhere else first.
