Following days of rumours about Atlético Mineiro’s interest in Nottingham Forest midfielder Gustavo Scarpa, it seems the Brazilian side have now taken action for the signing.
According to UOL’s latest report, the Galo sent in the past few days an offer for the 29-year-old.
It’s said Atlético Mineiro put on the table something between €4.5m and €5m for the midfielder, having also sent him an offer for salary and signing bonuses.
For now, there’s no information on whether Nottingham Forest are keen on accepting it, as it’s only claimed that they consider Scarpa to be negotiable.
The player is currently loaned to Olympiacos, but with him not having an impressive loan spell at the Greek side, it seems that wouldn’t be an obstacle for a potential January transfer.
Recent reports from Brazil claimed that Nottingham Forest wanted €5-6m for the sale, so we’ll see whether Atlético Mineiro’s offer will be enough.
It’s also been claimed that Internacional are in the fight for the signing as well, so that may be a reason for the Tricky Trees to hold for a bigger bid.
