TRT Spor claim Fenerbahce’s transfer committee are focusing on domestic talents in the January transfer window and they are interested in signing Leicester City’s Caglar Soyuncu.
The Turkish international joined Leicester from Freiburg at the start of the season but he’s struggled for game time due to injuries and selection.
With the French coach preferring the central defensive partnership of Wes Morgan and Harry Maguire this season, Soyuncu has only managed to make 5 Premier League appearances since his arrival in the summer.
According to TRT Spor, Fenerbahce have enquired about Soyuncu’s situation but despite the Turkish side’s efforts Leicester City aren’t looking to loan the player for the second half of the season.
During the last window the Istanbul club loaned Islam Slimani from the Foxes, which hasn’t been a successful signing for the Yellow Canaries.
The former Altinordu academy product is seen as one of the best defenders from Turkey and he’s under contract at King Power Stadium until 2023.
