Earlier on Wednesday, we covered a big article in the Italian media focusing around a potential swap deal between Moise Kean and Merih Demiral.
It came from Gazzetta dello Sport, who explained that out of the four players potentially on offer from Juventus’ squad, Everton would prefer the Turkish defender over the likes of Adrien Rabiot, Aaron Ramsey and Federico Bernardeschi.
This was all because the Italians want to bring Kean back to the club this summer, but he’s proving a bit too costly following his great season on loan at Paris Saint-Germain.
The belief was a fee of €50m would be what Everton would ask for, and the newspaper, taking to their website, look at it in more detail.
While Kean is ‘certainly not the striker with the greatest pedigree’, he is ‘the most futuristic’ of a list comprised of Edin Dzeko, Sergio Aguero and Mauro Icardi.
He would also be ‘the lowest salary among the four’, with a base contract of €3m/season post tax.
With 18 goals in 34 games in Paris, €50m is seen as the ‘possible price’, and that’s putting a spanner in the works.
Take Inter, for example, who are also on the lookout for some offensive reinforcements, but FC Inter News make it clear that neither Antonio Conte’s side nor Juventus are going to make attempts to sign him, failing to even mention the possibility with his agent, Mino Raiola.
That’s because Paris Saint-Germain are ‘very satisfied’ with Kean, and ‘they have the intention of signing him from Everton permanently’, with other hypotheses ‘not being taken into account’.
It all seems very definitive, but a lot can change in the final month of the season, so we’ll have to wait and see.
