As Real Betis’ interest in West Ham United midfielder Pablo Fornals continues, it seems they’ve just made a new move for the signing.

Outlet El Desmarque today explains that with Sergio Canales about to leave the Spanish club, they find themselves in a bit of a hurry for a substitute.

There are a few names on the list, and the most recent is Fornals, with Betis starting talks with his entourage to ‘find out his availability’.

The La Liga side have been in talks with West Ham for the transfer of Luiz Felipe, and that’s exactly where the idea of bringing the Spaniard back home was born.

El Desmarque don’t bring many details of how this deal would be made, just claiming that the Hammers are ‘open to hearing offers’ for Fornals.

A loan sounds unlikely, as his contract with West Ham expires at the end of the season and there are ‘no signs’ of a renewal. So maybe both players could be involved in permanent transfers.

According to the report, sources close to Fornals say the contacts ‘are real’, even though the operation is still in the ‘initial stage’.
