French defender Florian Lejeune left Manchester City for La Liga side Eibar during the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old joined Manchester City last summer in a €300k deal from Girona, and spent the last season on loan at the Spanish club.
Lejeune’s impressive performances for Girona earned him a transfer to Eibar, where he’s been getting a lot of praise for his performances.
Spanish newspaper Marca say Eibar’s sporting director Fran Garagarza was behind Lejeune’s transfer, and the club’s management believe he represents a bargain, having signed in a €1.5m deal this summer.
Eibar had defensive issues last season, but that doesn’t seem to be the case after the arrival of the French defender.
Marca say Lejeune is particularly dominant in the air, and the player is keen to make a name for himself.
The 25-year-old is primarily a centre-back, but can also play as a holding midfielder.
