Valencia ‘expect’ to have Tottenham’s Bryan Gil in the city ‘in the next few hours’ to finalise a season-long loan move to the club.

That’s according to the club’s official radio station, relayed by Mundo Deportivo, who confirm the player will be returning to the Spanish club.

Reports yesterday made it clear that Tottenham and Valencia had struck an agreement on a loan deal for Gil, who spent the second half of last season on loan with the La Liga side.

He proved to be a big hit and they’ve been pushing for him to return since, with Tottenham finally relenting over the last week or so.

Valencia’s radio station now insist they have ‘closed the return’ of the winger and the finalisation of that operation is only waiting on Tottenham finding a replacement.

While Spurs are working on that, Valencia are expecting Gil to arrive at the club ‘in the next few hours’ to formalise his loan move for this season.

That would suggest things are as advanced as they are claiming and perhaps that Tottenham have a replacement in mind and are moving to get that deal tied up so they can sanction Gil’s temporary departure.
