Former West Ham United midfielder Nikola Vlasic continues to get some support from the Italian media, despite his big struggles since his arrival at Torino.

Newspaper Corriere Torino today has a story highlighting that with his good form in the past few games, he ‘changed gear’ and is turning things around at the Serie A side.

It’s claimed that Torino are ‘once again convinced’ that signing Vlasic from West Ham ‘was the right choice’ despite his early difficulties.

The outlet claims club board never had doubts about the investment on his signing, despite matches ‘below expectations’, and they now enjoy the result.

Torino had Vlasic loaned by West Ham last season, and in the summer, had long negotiations with the Hammers which led to a €12.8m deal for the permanent move.

The midfielder had been heavily criticised for a slow start, especially because of the investment made in his signing, and it now seems he can go into the Christmas break with a better feeling from the fans.

Since the purchase, he had one goal and two assists in 14 games, and those were all made in the past four appearances.
